Paintbox of colors

I open up and choose

Paintbox of colors

It’s for me to use



It’s only seven thirty early morning

But I feel like going, doing something special

Sweet passion makes me smile



So I stroll around the neighborhood

With a paintbox full of colors

You think I must have lost my mind



I see the charm of burgundy brew

chestnut, eggshell, tiffany blue

Not a single part of world I let stay dry



Jazzburry jam and golden brown

I’m ready to paint the whole big town

The walls, the sidewalk and the sky



I can color the grey of the rain

And make it sound like a hauting refrain

Shine a light on the raindrops, beautiful reflections

Laugh away the fast hurricane



And now I’m free to climb on a rainbow up high

Its colors are dazzling and bright

I adore all the thousands and thousands of shades

But I know for sure love is white



Just try to see what I see you’ll be surprised

What a pure, undisguised way

I found to cheer you up and make you twirl



Every single stroke I’m making

I can hear my paintbrush saying:

Oh what a wonderful world!



Blueberry muffin and forest green

Bitter lime or aquamarine

Oh I know that they will not flake off this time



Lil soap bubbles, the blush of pink

A vibrant yellow soft icy drink

Colors you’ve seen but never tried
